PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system capable of eliminating a route guide, when not required, to solve troublesomeness, and capable of guiding a route in detail by a time unit. SOLUTION: This navigation system comprises a reservation date setting means 4 for setting a date starting search guide for the route up to a destination; a reservation time setting means 5 for setting a time starting the search guide for the route up to the destination, a reservation date consistency detecting means 7 and a reservation time consistency detecting means 8 for detecting the coming of the same date and time same to those of the route search guide start date and time; and a reservation execution instruction means 9; a route searching means 10; and a route guide means 11 for searching the route from the present position of a vehicle up to the destination, based on map information and the destination, to conduct the guide, when the route search guide start date and time come.
