PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for measuring vehicular speed capable of accurately measuring the traveling speed on a wetting road surface, without regard to a general road and a test course. SOLUTION: An optical noncontact speedometer 6 is installed in the vehicle 1 so that the measurement part faces the road surface 4. A cylindrical cover 9 for surrounding the periphery and extending to the road surface side, is installed in its measuring part 7.
