PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform efficient storage heating and removal of oily smoke by controlling current-carrying while relating heating to a cooking matter to purification exhaust of oily smoke generated from the cooking matter, and to improve the taste of the cooking matter by shortening the cooking time by this effect. SOLUTION: This cooker comprises a box-shaped storage 11 containing heating elements 16 and 17; a door 13 opening and closing an opening part at the front surface of the storage 11; an exhaust passage forming a conduit with the storage 11 to exhaust air to the outside; a catalyst 26 provided within the exhaust passage to purify exhausted smoke and air; a catalyst heating element 25 provided in the passage before the catalyst 26 to heat the catalyst; and a fan 27 provided in the passage after the catalyst 26 to forcedly suck the air in the storage. The rotating speed of the fan 27 is varied in accordance with the heating state in the storage 11, whereby waste exhaust heat can be minimized at the time of smoke elimination.
