PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high pressure rubber hose and a brake hose for a vehicle excellent in fatigue properties. SOLUTION: The high pressure rubber hose has at least an inner layer rubber 2, a reinforcement fiber layer 3 provided for an outer peripheral of the inner layer rubber 2 and an outer layer rubber 6 positioned at an outer-most peripheral part. The reinforcement fiber layer 3 is formed so that, in the case that all layers except for the inner layer rubber 2 and the reinforcement fiber layer 3 are removed to leave only the inner layer rubber 2 and the reinforcement fiber layer 3, deformation ratio of the inner layer rubber 2 and the reinforcement fiber layer 3 in their longitudinal direction when a predetermined inner pressure is applied to the inner layer rubber 2 and the reinforcement fiber layer 3 so that lengthwise deformation ratio of the inner layer rubber 2 and the reinforcement fiber layer 3 becomes equal to or larger than -0.5% for its free length.
