PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of edge load of a roller relative to a long gear supporting shaft. SOLUTION: This gear device comprises a long planetary gear supporting shaft (long gear supporting shaft) 16 inserted into an inner periphery of a long planetary gear (long gear) 14 for supporting the long planetary gear 14, and a double row rollers 25-27 mounted between the long planetary gear 14 and the long planetary gear supporting shaft 16, the long planetary gear 14 is divided into a plurality of axial gears 21, 22 respectively engaged with companion gears 12, 15 radially opposite to each other, gear portions 23, 24 are formed on opposite end faces of the divided gears 21, 22, and the divided gears 21, 22 are engaged in the rotating direction at both gear portions 23, 24 and displaceable along flexural deformation of the long planetary gear supporting shaft 16.
