PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the time for rising of charging pressure of a turbocharger, in a supercharging system having an electric supercharger and the turbocharger. SOLUTION: The supercharging system comprises: the turbocharger 6; the electric supercharger 4 disposed to an intake passage upstream the turbocharger 6 and driven by an electric motor 15; a first pressure detection means 29 detecting pressure in the intake passage downstream the electric supercharger and upstream the turbocharger; a second pressure detection means 30 detecting pressure in the intake passage downstream the turbocharger; a charging pressure control means 25 controlling the charging pressure of the turbosupercharger 6 so as not to exceed predetermined pressure according to differential pressure between first pressure Pa detected by the firs pressure detection means 29 and second pressure Pb detected by the second pressure detection means 30; a means 20 for detecting acceleration request of a vehicle; and an electric supercharger driving force reduction means 18 making the electric supercharger operate when the acceleration request is detected, and decrease driving force of the electric supercharger 4 after the second pressure increasing under the control of the charging pressure control means 25 reaches the predetermined pressure.
