摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser ignition type engine capable of restraining the occurrence of an evil such as an increase in useless manhours caused by replacing a target and operation stopping of an engine, by preventing the occurrence of laser ignition failure by reduction in the service lift of the target and combustion failure caused thereby, by preventing reduction in the service lift of the target by one point concentrated irradiation of such as laser beam, by avoiding concentrated irradiation to one point of the target of the laser beam. SOLUTION: This laser ignition type engine has a valve rotating device for rotating a valve element around the valve stem center in any one or both of an air supply valve and an exhaust valve; and is characterized in that a laser beam transmitting means is composed of an optical fiber, and an optical fiber moving device is arranged for movably supporting a tip part on the laser beam condensing means side of the optical fiber by interlocking with the valve rotating device, and is constituted for changing the direction of a tip part of the optical fiber in the required direction by moving the optical fiber moving device by the valve rotating device.
