PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a member for preventing deflection of a wiper blade from not being mounted to a wiper arm. SOLUTION: In a wiper device, a support member 51 is mounted in the wiper arm 4 which reciprocatingly oscillates. The support member 51 has an approximate U shape, and the wiper blade is inserted between the side parts 62, 63. Engagement parts 70, 76 are provided on the outer surfaces 62b, 63b of the side parts 62, 63 respectively. The engagement parts 70, 76 have a plate 72 which is disposed separately so as to have a clearance 73 at the outside of the outer surfaces 62b, 63b, and a projection 74 projected from the plate 72.
