PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a purification device which more safely performs deodorization and disinfection of odor, virus, mold or the like in a room without necessitating to trouble a user's hand. SOLUTION: The device is equipped with a discharge electrode 2, a counter electrode 3, a pulsing high voltage applying means 4 for applying high voltage of a pulse waveform between these electrodes, and a water generating means 5 for generating water on the discharge electrode 2 and/or the counter electrode 3 without feeding water. The device can produce radicals, ions or the like and fine water particles containing a large amount of these in the discharge region using the water and electric discharge generated between the electrodes without feeding water and without troubling the user's hand, and can discharge them to the downstream of the discharge region.
