<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology with which usability in displaying identification information(IP address) is increased more than with a conventional manner. <P>SOLUTION: In displaying an IP address, the IP address is displayed by a notation method with which a compression rate is made higher as the display region is made smaller in accordance with the scale of the display region (the compression rate is made higher in the order of Long, Semi-Long, Short) (s426 to s434). In the case of the IP address in which the number of characters can be compressed by this compression rate, all characters configuring the IP address(which is compressed) can be displayed at once without any error. Thus, it is possible to prevent a portion of the IP address from being non-confirmable, and it is not necessary to scroll characters in the display region for confirming any non-displayed section.
