<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of releasing occupying of a resource, if necessary. <P>SOLUTION: It is assumed that the image forming apparatus is equipped with a function preventing other persons except a user indicating to start occupation from using the resource during a specific resource is under an occupied condition. In such the image forming apparatus as this, a storing part stores a common password. In addition, an occupying part practices occupation of the resource when user information for discriminating the user is received. A releasing part releases the occupation when the user information received or the common password is inputted.
