<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable partial readout, ensuring simultaneity of storage in an imaging device such as a CCD, and to provide a focusing processing circuit for an imaging apparatus which enables high-speed focusing operation. <P>SOLUTION: The focusing processing circuit for an imaging device has: a focusing lens 2 for taking light in from outside; and an imaging device 4 composed by arranging a plurality of photoelectric conversion elements 20 into the shape of a lattice for converting formed image information into electrical signals, and performs focusing by moving the focusing lens. In the circuit, the imaging device is divided into a plurality of blocks when the aggregate of a predetermined number of photoelectric conversion elements is treated as one block, each block is individually operatable, and each electrical signal of photoelectric conversion elements in a block corresponding to a designated autofocus region is preferentially read. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
