<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device enabling a reduction in the size of a shift tray of an post-processing device. <P>SOLUTION: To realize a shift sorting function, when an image-formed recording paper is received by a discharge roller 118, a spherical roller is rotated in a straight forward direction relative to a carrying passage, and after a prescribed time is passed after the recording paper is received by the discharge roller 118, the discharge roller 118 is rotatingly driven in a diagonal direction relative to the advancing direction of the carrying passage to discharge it while shifting to the right or left side. Moreover, slit-like spaces are formed in the paper discharge part of the device at right and left side portions with respect to the straight forward direction of the carrying passage.
