PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance cut-off performance by producing moderate plastic fluidization to excavated sediment even in the ground with high salinity concentration, thereby stabilizing a working face and ensuring smooth soil removal to enable smooth excavation and jacking. SOLUTION: In a mud pressure shield-excavating method, in a stratum containing salinity, an excavating addition agent containing polyacrylic amide, nonionic cellulose and sodium silicate as a main composition is dissolved in a solvent and supplied to the working face for excavation.
