PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide coated paper exhibiting an excellent gravure printing aptitude, having a high outermost coated layer strength, also without getting calendar stain, blocking, etc. SOLUTION: This coated paper having the coated layer at least on one side surface of the outermost layer of a substrate paper consisting mainly of wood pulp is provided by incorporating 100 pts. wt. pigment containing≥50 pts. wt. smoothing pigment, 10-30 pt. wt. binder having≥(-)10°C mean Tg and 0.1-10 pt. wt. thermoplastic material in the coated layer to obtain the coated paper exhibiting the excellent gravure printing aptitude, having the high outermost coated layer strength, also without getting the calendar stain, blocking, etc. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
