PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly productive charcoal oven of a direct firing type, which reduces complex and skill requiring tasks from firing to taking out charcoal from an oven common for black and white charcoal ovens. SOLUTION: The smoking type charcoal oven is constituted with a treating oven 1 and a burning furnace 2 separated to be independent by a separating wall 4 comprising an oven wall. The treating oven 1 is equipped with an oven opening 1a for placing a material wood and for taking out charcoal and the burning oven 2 is equipped with an igniting hole 2a which also works as an air circulation hole in order that two independent and separated openings are formed in the charcoal oven.
