PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polypropylene resin composition which is suitable as a material of a film for packing retort food, which is excellent in rigidity, transparency, impact resistance and heat seal strength, and a film made of the same. SOLUTION: The polypropylene resin composition contains 83-95 wt.% propylene copolymer and 5-17 wt.% ethylene polymer. Here, the propylene copolymer comprises a polymer part derived from a monomer essentially comprising propylene and a copolymer part derived from propylene and ethylene and contains≥10 wt.% but <30 wt.% 20°C xylene-soluble part with a limiting viscosity of≥2.0 dL/g, and the ethylene polymer has a density of≥0.93 g/cm<SP>3</SP>and a melt flow rate at 190°C of≥10 g/10 min.
