PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inside mirror device for a vehicle as an improved product on a conventional glare shield type mirror device involving the problem that mirror housings 1 and 8 must be changed in compliance with the side and shape of the edges of mirrors 2. SOLUTION: A mirror housing 3 is held at the farther end of a stay 2, and on the housing 3 an operating lever 4 and a mirror holder 6 are held through a reflectance changeover mechanism, and a mirror 5 is held by the mirror holder 6. Because the mirror 5 is held by the mirror holder 6 and is not fixed to the mirror housing 3, there is no need to change the mirror housing 3 in case the size and shape of the mirror 5 are changed according to the vehicle.
