<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely determine a character read from a document on a correction picture. <P>SOLUTION: This character reading device 1 is provided with: a database 16 for storing a document form 34 in a state that a character has not been entered in its character entry column and a dictionary 15; a character image processing part 13 for generating a character image based on handwriting information inputted from a digital pen 2, and for detecting the projection of a character from a character entry column 43 of a document 4 and the projecting direction by associating coordinates on the document 4 of the character image with coordinates of the document form 34, and for generating a display image by superimposing the field image of the document form 34 whose segmentation range is expanded to the projecting direction of a character and the generated character image; and a correction processing part 18 for displaying a correction picture where the display image and the recognition result of a character recognition part 14 are arranged. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
