<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stripper of a long coated body in which the coating can be stripped easily by forming an annular cut of substantially uniform depth in the coating of a long coated body having a noncircular cross-section. <P>SOLUTION: In the stripper of a long coated body comprising a cutting means 36 having a cutting edge 38 and a cutting edge moving portion 40, the cutting edge moving portion 40 of the cutting means 36 comprises a holder 44 for holding the cutting edge 38, a holder frame 46 having a holder space 46a for containing the holder 44 and supporting the cutting edge holder 44 contained in the space 46a movably, and a resilient member 48 interposed between the bottom of the space 46a and the cutting edge holder 44 and cutting the coating of the long coated body by urging the cutting edge holder 44 toward the coating thereby pressing the cutting edge 38 against the coating. The resilient member 48 is telescoped by variation in cutting resistance from the coating acting on the cutting edge 38 and the cutting edge holder 44 is advanced/retracted in the space 46a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
