PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an output power recovery method and an output power recovery system for recovering the output power of lithium secondary batteries in a short time with a simple manner. SOLUTION: The intended lithium secondary battery is charged and/or discharged for 60 seconds or less to decrease internal resistance of the battery and then the output power of the battery is recovered. This output power recovery method is realized, for example, with the output power recovery system 1 for lithium secondary batteries which comprises an auxiliary power source 20 for applying an electric current to the lithium secondary battery 10 and a controller 30 which is electrically connected to the auxiliary power source 20 and controls the 60-or-less-second charge and/or discharge of the lithium secondary battery 10.
