PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid jet device and a liquid suction device of a liquid jet head which can unerringly absorbs a liquid on a nozzle surface without butting against the nozzle surface of the liquid jet head. SOLUTION: The liquid jet device 10 has a liquid suction device 20 of a liquid jet head 30 which sucks a liquid jet from the nozzle surface 61 of the liquid jet head. The liquid suction device 20 has a pedestal 21, a columnar absorbing material 22 supported on the pedestal 21 and rotating by a movement relative to the nozzle surface 61 and absorbing a liquid from a nozzle opening 55A, and a clearance forming member 300 to form a clearance between the surface of the absorbing material 22 facing the nozzle surface 61 and the nozzle surface 61 when the liquid is sucked.
