PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form an external electrode without impairing characteristics of a laminated ceramic capacitor. SOLUTION: The laminated ceramic capacitor has an external electrode made mainly of copper on the end face of the laminated ceramic capacitor element, comprising ceramic and internal electrode made of a metal predominantly composed of nickel. In manufacturing the laminated ceramic capacitor, a binder made of copper powder and a resin material, and a copper paste layer containing a glass frit are applied to the end face of the laminated ceramic capacitor element. After being dried, it is sintered at an oxygen concentration of 30-500 ppm at 700°C or below, and at an oxygen concentration of 15 ppm at 800°C or over. Moreover, the external electrode is formed by repeating the processes from the copper paste application to sintering two times or more. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
