PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of accurately evaluating the functionality of a volatile substance in vivo. SOLUTION: Air with the vaporized volatile substance of a prescribed concentration is supplied inside a breeding chamber, the air in the breeding chamber is discharged, the inside of the breeding chamber is kept thereby at a fixed volatile substance concentration, examined animals are bred in the breeding chamber, and influence having effects on the examined animals is observed to precisely evaluate the functionality of the volatile substance.
