PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a top plate elevating device provided with a parallel link mechanism which does not pinch the hand of a user, foreign matters or the like even when the top plate is elevated up and down. SOLUTION: The top plate elevating device is capable of elevating a top plate 26 up and down from and to a support frame by connecting appropriate positions of the support frame formed by connecting the upper ends of right and left leg bodies by lateral connection rods 3 and the lower surface of the top plate 26 by the parallel link mechanism 16 that has a pair of the longitudinally facing upper and lower link arms 19 and 22 and is vertically turnable, wherein the link arms 19 and 22 are laterally disposed apart from each other and vertically turnably connected to the support frame and the top plate 26.
