PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modeling method for probabilistically describing a change with the elapse of time in an amount (X<SB>i</SB>) of a specified mRNA existing in each of cells, capable of being applied to a system in which the amount of the mRNA in each of the cells is changed with the time or amounts thereof are changed among each of the cells with large fluctuation. SOLUTION: This modeling method uses a model which satisfies specific conditions as a model expressed in a probabilistically estimable form, wherein the specific conditions comprise so that a transcription phenomenon of a specified gene in one of the cells independently occurs of a transcription phenomenon of the specified gene in the other cells; the change with the time in the amount of the mRNA is brought about in a sharp peak form by accompanying one time of an occurrence of the transcription phenomenon of the specified gene in the one of the cells; frequency of the occurrences of the transcription phenomenons of the specified gene within a fixed time follows probability similar to Poisson distribution in the one of the cells; and time intervals between the occurrences of the transcription phenomenons of two times spaced out one after the other are substantially random within a range not contrary to the probability.
