PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chemical-volatilizing apparatus having such a structure as not only to have a chemical-holding function, but also to be improved in a chemical-volatilizing effect, based on an arrangement of mesh-shaped chemical-holding fibers and other chemical-holding fibers in a chemical-holding body, when the chemical-volatilizing apparatus is contrived so that an air flow formed by a fan passes through a chemical-holding unit. SOLUTION: This chemical-volatilizing apparatus volatilizes a chemical by making the air flow formed by the fan pass through the chemical-holding body 1 made of the fibers as raw materials, wherein the chemical-volatilizing apparatus adopts the chemical-holding body 1 having such a structure that the mesh-shaped chemical-holding fibers 2 having a regular mesh shape in a two-dimensional direction are arranged on both surfaces of the chemical-holding body 1 and a plurality of the other chemical-holding fibers 3 is arranged in a space between the mesh-shaped chemical-holding fibers 2 of which the each is positioned on any one of upper and lower sides and forms a unit of meshes, in such a manner that the chemical-holding fibers 3 support the mesh-shaped chemical-holding fibers 2 positioned on the upper and lower sides at prescribed intervals and connect the fibers 2 to each other by being furnished with bending elasticity.
