PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a yarn heater effective for preventing the ballooning of especially a thin yarn, particularly a polyamide yarn in the heater in false-twisting work. SOLUTION: The yarn heater 1 is provided with a heating zone 3 having a yarn passage 5, at least one heating wall 7 placed on the yarn passage 5, a heating means 9 for heating the heating wall 7, and yarn guides 11 placed in the yarn passage 5. The yarn guides 11 are arranged to form a circular arc form on one plane and a threadline 13 predefined by the yarn guides 11 has a zigzag shape.
