<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct short-period and long-period variations in image density and gradation reproducibility whatever form is used when an operator corrects gradations. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus has at least one test print consisting of a designated pattern used for correction processing after image formation, and the white level of the test print on a form is detected to correct correction processing based upon the detected value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
