<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an induction heating cooking device to detect the boiling of an object to be heated without causing it to be boiled over. <P>SOLUTION: This induction heating cooking device is equipped with a heating coil 3 to heat a pan 1, a top plate 2 for the pan 1 placed in the upper part of the heating coil 3, an inverter 4 supplying a high frequency current to make the pan 1 generate heat by electromagnetic induction, a heating control means 9 to control power supplied to the heating coil 3, an infrared ray detecting means 5 to detect infrared rays radiated from the bottom face of the pan 1 placed on the lower surface of the top plate 2, a temperature detecting means 6 to detect the temperature of the bottom face of the pan 1 from the output of the infrared ray detecting means 5, and a means 7 for detecting a temperature before boiling to detect a specific temperature before boiling by a temperature change detected by the temperature detecting means 6. After the temperature before boiling is detected, the inverter 4 is stopped, and boiling is determined by the temperature change detected by the temperature detecting means 6.
