<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet handling apparatus which can press sheets of different sizes onto a sheet supporting member by a suitable suction pressure, and is simple in constitution and space-saving. <P>SOLUTION: In the sheet handling apparatus with the sheet supporting member 14, the member 14 has a surface 24 equipped with a suction opening 42 connected to at least one suction chamber 26. The chamber 26 of the sheet handling apparatus is connected to a suction device constituted to form a reduced pressure in the suction chamber 26, and is equipped with a flow obstructing material 80 arranged to obstruct at least a flow of the air from a sub set 24b of the suction opening 24 into the suction chamber 26. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
