<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a macromolecular light emitting element employing new macromolecular material and its use. <P>SOLUTION: An iteration shown by a formula (1) is comprised in a principal chain between electrodes consisting of an anode and a cathode to obtain the macromolecular light emitting element whose light emitting layer comprises a macromolecular compound whose number average molecular weight of polystyrene conversion is 10<SP>3</SP>-10<SP>8</SP>. In the formula, R<SB>2</SB>shows an alkyl group or a cyril group having a substituent and R<SB>3</SB>shows a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group.
