PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a character input support device of which the operability of character input can be improved. SOLUTION: The character input support device for supporting input of prescribed characters corresponding to a key input character designated by key input is provided with: a storage part 2 storing a correspondence relation between the key input character and the character as a table; an operation part 1 starting input support of the character; and a control part 3 specifying the character following the key input character inputted before start of input support by referring to the table and adding the specified character to the key input character.
