PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable device allowing an input/output part of the portable device provided with the input/output part having directivity to properly function. SOLUTION: The portable device with the input/output part having directivity is provided with: an inclination detecting means for detecting an inclination angle of the device; and an angle discriminating means for discriminating whether the direction of the directivity of the input/output part is within a prescribed range, on the basis of the inclination angle of the device detected with the inclination detecting means and the direction of the directivity of the input/output part mounted to the device.
