PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a card connector commonly used for two kinds of cards having lengths different from each other wherein two cards can not be inserted with almost identical insertion force because a contact for a short card is pressed down against spring force, and then the insertion force of the long card becomes large when the long card is inserted. SOLUTION: A slider 12 for ejection is divided into a front side slider 10 and a backside slider 11 along a card insertion direction. The long card 3 makes the backside slider 11 follow and move alone after passing through the front slider 10, and the short card 2 makes the backside slider 11 and front side slider follow and move integrally. A lateral jointing plate 10c extended toward a lower side of the contact 6 for the short card, serving as a fulcrum of elastic movement is arranged. A sufficient spring force necessary for electrically connecting the short card to an electrode is obtained when inserting the short card, while the spring force is reduced when inserting the long card by making an effective length L of a spring for the contact 6 for the short card at the time of inserting the long card longer than that at the time of inserting of the short card.
