PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve an improved suppression of forces which are introduced laterally into a force-transmitting mechanism, when the force-transmitting mechanism is used in a high-resolution balance. SOLUTION: A coupling element which is stiff in its lengthwise direction but bends elastically, has at least one first flexure joint 8 having a thin material connection and being movable inside a parallelogram plane. A lever mechanism and at least one coupling member 5 are integral parts of a material block. Of those, at least one coupling member also has at least two second flexure joints 16 with thin material connections whose flexibility is in a direction crossing the bending of the first flexure joint 8.
