PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and high-resolution absolute angle detection apparatus at low costs. SOLUTION: The absolute angle detection apparatus comprises a rotator 1, a digital code row 2 for sector detection formed in the rotator 1, a slit row 3 for rotational angle detection formed in the rotator 1, five optical elements 4-8 for sector detection opposed to the digital code row 2, and two optical elements 9, 10 for rotational angle detection opposed to the slit row 3.
