PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller shape evaluation method which enables the appropriate determination of criteria for evaluation even in the case of the presence of shape variations in rollers and highly reliably evaluating shapes. SOLUTION: The roller shape evaluation method is provided with both a process for determining criteria for evaluation on the basis of actually measured shape measurement values of rollers and a process for evaluating the shape of rollers through the use of the criteria for evaluation.
