PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a separation time of a liquid component from a mixed specimen formed by mixing a specimen with additional liquid without utilizing gravity-drop requiring a long time, and to prevent causing of compression or decompression in the specimen at the separation time, in a separation structure for separating the liquid component from the mixed specimen formed by mixing the specimen with the additional liquid. SOLUTION: This structure has a storage chamber for storing the mixed specimen formed by mixing the specimen with the additional liquid, and a collection chamber for storing the liquid component separated from the mixed specimen. The storage chamber and the collection chamber are communicated together through a filter, and pistons are mounted respectively in the storage chamber and the collection chamber, and both pistons are connected together by a connection device so as to move in the same direction simultaneously.
