PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traveling toy and a toy set using the same capable of supplying a necessary amount of liquid for generating a water ball to a water ball generating mechanism and surely jetting out the water ball. SOLUTION: This traveling toy 1, in its toy body 7, is provided with a water ball generator 2 having an inlet 211, a motor 3 driving the water ball generator 2, a power supply 4 actuating the motor 3, a liquid tank 5 having an outlet 51 and retaining the liquid, a guide passage 6 guiding the liquid in the liquid tank 5 to the water ball generator 2, and wheels 8. The inlet 211 of the water ball generator 2 is positioned lower than the outlet 51 of the liquid tank 5.
