PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a food dough cutting apparatus that gives no damage to the conveying conveyer and can attain more accurate measurement of the dough and precise cutting of the dough. SOLUTION: This apparatus is equipped with a conveying conveyer 5 for conveying the food dough 3 formed in a band or sheet form having a proper width and thickness; a measuring conveyer 9 for measuring the food dough 3 that is conveyed by the conveying conveyer 5; the measurement-checking conveyer 11 that is arranged near on the downstream side of the measuring conveyer 9; the cutter 7 for cutting the food dough at the time when the measured value of the food dough coincides to the set value; and the measurement-checking conveyer 11 for checking the weight of a piece cut from the food dough. In this case, the measuring conveyer 9 is set a little higher than the conveying conveyer 5 and the cutter for cutting the food dough is arranged between the contact position 29 of the food dough to the conveying conveyer 5 and the contact position 31 of the food dough to the measuring conveyer 9.
