[PROBLEMS] To provide well plates enabling operations such as the holding and injection of cells without causing any problem even if the moving directions of a manipulator and capillaries are tilted relative to the surfaces of the well plates and a device for cell culture. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] The interference of the capillaries (10, 11) moving in directions tilted relative to the surfaces of the well plates (14, 14') with the opening parts of wells (20) is prevented by increasing the inner diameter of the wells (20) near the opening parts so that the operations such as the holding and injection of cells can be performed without causing any problem. Also, the cells are prevented from being carelessly moved on the bottom surfaces of the wells (20) by reducing the inner diameter of the wells (20) near the bottom parts of the wells so that capture and injection operations can be easily performed.
