The invention relates to a rail vehicle with several running wheels (20), of which at least one has a main body (19), made from a preferably metallic material, with a contact element (26, 27), on the outer circumference thereof, provided for a frictional contact with a rail (1), made from an elastic material, preferably from rubber. Substantial ecological advantages can be achieved, whereby the contact element (26, 27) comprises several essentially wedge-shaped longitudinal ribs, embodied to engage in longitudinal grooves (5) in the rails (1). |
