A travel of a character trained by a character training toy (101) is rendered. By operating the toy (101), the character can travel. By the operation, a passport number is displayed on the toy(101). The user inputs the passport number on the screen provided by a portable application (102b) executed by a portable terminal (102). The portable terminal (102) transmits the character code and the item code included in the number to a server (103). The server (103) combines the character image (103b) and the background image (103a) created according to the respective codes, associates the combined image with the user of the portable terminal (102), i.e., the transmission source, and stores the combined image as a collected image (103d). The portable terminal (102) accesses the collected image (103d) through a browser (102c) and can display the combined image.
