<p>The method involves filtering each image block (1-8) of a digital image, where the image block contains a field of pixel. An indirect filtering of vertical border rows of the image block is carried out, while filtering horizontal block border slots of the image block. The filtering is performed both for current image block and for the image blocks adjoining to the block borders that is to be filtered. An independent claim is also included for a device for reducing the artifacts in a block of a digital image.</p> |
