Preparation of polyurethane rigid foam material (I) comprises reaction of (a) polyisocyanate with (b) compounds with at least two reactive hydrogen atoms with isocyanate group in presence of propellants, where (b) contains an acrylate polyol (5-90 wt.%) (b1), prepared by radical polymerization of hydroxyl-functional (meth)acrylate or its mixtures with e.g. non hydroxyl-functional (meth)acrylate. Preparation of polyurethane rigid foam material (I) comprises reaction of (a) polyisocyanate with (b) compounds with at least two reactive hydrogen atoms with isocyanate group in presence of propellants, where (b) contains an acrylate polyol (5-90 wt.%) (b1), prepared by radical polymerization of hydroxyl-functional (meth)acrylate or its mixtures with non hydroxyl-functional (meth)acrylate and/or aliphatic or aromatic ethylenic unsaturated monomers, where the monomer used for the production of the acrylate polyol does not contain aminic nitrogen. Independent claims are also included for: (1) (I), prepared by the preparation method; and (2) use of acrylate polyol to the improvement of the flame stability of (I).
