INDUCTION STIRRING COIL

There is provided a compact induction stirring coil having a high thrust which has not been realized conventionally. The induction stirring coil stirs molten steel in a mold by electro-magnetic force. The occupation ratio (-) of the yoke cross section area with respect to the inner area in the cross section of the induction stirring coil is 0.5 or above and the yoke width B is not smaller than 100 mm and not greater than 300 mm. The value F/B obtained by dividing the magneto-motive force F of the induction stirring coil by the yoke width B is preferably 800 kAT/m or above.
