<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter of a multi-pipe structure excellent in maneuverability and functionality in which tubes can be fixed each other in the narrowest possible sector without being accompanied by local hardening and damage and bending of a blood vessel, etc. is hard to occur and a production method for it. <P>SOLUTION: The catheter of this invention is the catheter of the multi-pipe structure having a tube 2 and a tube 3. The tube 2 and the tube 3 are respectively formed of materials which are soluble mutually at the time of heating and fusing. The prong of the tube 2 and the prong of the tube 3 are mutually fusion connected and the fusion connection width in a catheter axial direction of this fusion connection section is 3 mm or less. Such a catheter is manufactured by passing a core 71 through the inside of the tube 2, passing a core 72 having a notch portion through space between the tube 2 and the tube 3, and fusion connecting the tube 2 and the tube 3 by irradiating a light beam 9 after covering a heat contraction tube 8 furthermore. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
