<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell stack having a suitable insulator structure. <P>SOLUTION: A tray-shaped laminated member having an insulator 19 on its outer fringe is used as the laminated member of a unit cell 10. For example, the tray-shaped laminated member is formed by providing the insulator 19 on the outer fringe of a separator 15, or by providing the insulator 19 on the outer fringe of a MEA 13.
