<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably prevent development hysteresis in a developing device using a magnetic carrier and a nonmagnetic toner. <P>SOLUTION: The developing device 10 has: a developing roller 14 which is disposed opposite to a photoreceptor drum 4 and develops an electrostatic latent image with the toner to form a toner image; and a magnetic roller 13 which is disposed opposite to the developing roller, has a plurality of magnetic roller's magnetic poles, holds a two-component developer and supplies the toner to the developing roller. One of the magnetic roller's magnetic poles is located in a position where the developing roller and the magnetic roller are closest to each other, a developing roller's magnetic pole body 14b which is a magnetic pole different from one of the magnetic roller's magnetic poles is attached to the developing roller in such a way that it can be rotated round the axial direction of the developing roller as a center of rotation, a balance body 14d which balances with the developing roller's magnetic pole body is also attached to the developing roller in such a way that it can be rotated round the axial direction of the developing roller as a center of rotation, and the developing roller's magnetic pole body is located in the closest position where it confronts one of the magnetic roller's magnetic poles. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
